Haile Plantation
Located in SW Gainesville, directly west of the University of Florida campus and Shands Hospital, and two miles west of I-75, the award-winning subdivison boasts an 18-hole Gary Player Signature golf course; a brand new, state-of-the-art, underground water, clay court Tennis Center; a pool and clubhouse amenities; Publix Market Square, and the Haile Village Center with various shops and dining. Founded by The Fleeman Family and developed by Matthew Kaskel and Robert B. Kramer, the name sake was Thomas Evans Haile who established his cotton plantation here in 1854. Home development began in the late 1970s and is still being built out in the north and south ends.
